We are thrilled to share the success of our participation in the West African Society of World Aquaculture Society Workshop<\/strong> held in Ghana from May 29th to 31st, 2024<\/strong>, themed \u201cExploring Potential Collaboration Models for Sustainable Aquaculture Development in West Africa<\/strong>.\u201d The event was a unique opportunity to engage with other key players in the aquaculture industry, exchange ideas, and explore collaboration models that can shape the future of sustainable fish farming in West Africa. Held in the vibrant city of Accra, Ghana, this event brought together leading experts, organizations, and stakeholders from across the aquaculture industry in West Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshop and exhibition provided an invaluable platform for us to not only learn but also share our contributions and achievements as pioneers in the Nigerian aquaculture sector.         As a pioneering aquaculture company from Nigeria, we were proud to share our journey and achievements with the larger West African aquaculture community. A key highlight of our participation was presenting our milestone accomplishments, particularly the successful introduction of five different exotic fish species<\/strong>, which we have developed to thrive in Nigeria\u2019s and West Africa’s unique environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        These species have been carefully adapted to local conditions, offering Nigerian and West African fish farmers more diversity and the potential to improve production yields. Our commitment to research, development, and sustainability has made these species viable alternatives that can bolster regional fish production, reduce risks, and increase profitability for farmers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        In line with our company’s vision, we also shared our broader goal of making West Africa self-sufficient in fish production<\/strong>, a mission we hold dear as we work towards reducing the region\u2019s reliance on imported fish to meet rising domestic demand. The high importation rates in many West African countries continue to pose a challenge to food security. By promoting local fish farming and introducing diverse species, we are confident that the region can become a global leader in aquaculture, providing not only for its own needs but also contributing to the international market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
